Bristol & North Somerset Counselling Supervision, Psychotherapy, Relationship & Couple Counselling, Divorce/Separation Recovery, Coaching and Mindfulness Meditation Training.
I am a highly experienced professional counsellor, psychotherapist, coach, supervisor and mindfulness meditation trainer, established 1988. I offer confidential & caring support to individuals, couples, counsellors, trainees and organisations. Tel 07941348354.(Please see my profile.)
Who I work with
I have worked with and continue to welcome people of all ages and cultures for therapy. Counsellors, therapists and other professionals, for example, teachers, clergy and healthcare professionals have come to me for clinical supervision and for their own personal counselling. (Please see my supervision profile)
Some people come to look at their own issues such as unhappiness, stress, generalised anxiety disorders, addictions, eating disorders, weight issues. Also when they have relationship difficulties for example - affairs, betrayal, lack of trust, divorce, separation, and sadness.
Many people experience depression, often personal or when they are going through work place issues, bullying and abuse. Others come to counselling and coaching, when they are grieving, experiencing bereavement, at a time of loss or change. Perhaps going through post-natal depression, child issues, empty nest syndrome or a mid-life crisis. They seek a therapist, a counsellor, psychotherapist or coach who is an impartial person to speak with.
When you start to unload issues that you may have been holding onto for a long while, this can be very therapeutic and healing in itself. Clients often say that they have been feeling much better after a few sessions of therapy.
Often we look at how the person may be stuck. We can explore why and how they are sad, who or what is stopping them from feeling happy and moving forward with their lives.
Sometimes people don't know where they want to go. They just know they can be experiencing lots of different emotions - related to denial, fear, loneliness; guilt, rejection, self-worth; anger, grief, trust; love & sexuality. You can be taught to work through some of these emotional blocks to help rebuild your life and your relationships.
At times in my life I have needed my own counselling support and understand what it is like to take those first, often hesitant steps into asking for outside help. It can be a very confusing time for you - deciding how to filter through the vast amount of options that are available in the therapeutic world today.
Do not hesitate to contact me for a brief chat. If I am unable to support you. I can perhaps recommend a way forward for you through other therapy contacts.
As a counsellor, I have seen many people from the corporate world who have wanted to discuss workplace issues confidentially. Anxiety, depression and stress are affecting more and more employees - consequently the Mindful Based Stress Reduction programmes, for individuals and groups are becoming highly sought after within organisations.
Research shows that Mindfulness Meditation and Cognitive Behavioural Training for staff can save organisations time and money. I am available to discuss stress management and mindfulness in the workplace.
