About me

If you are here it might be that there is something happening inside you right now. We can try to look at that together.
I'm Giovanni, a Psychologist and Psychotherapist, and I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the main vessel of real change. Therapy is a journey to be embarked on safely.

We will work together towards your objectives, it doesn't matter how far they seem now.

I am open and every time happy to discuss the way we work together, and I will invite you to share your thoughts about our work.

I provide psychotherapy for individuals and couples of any age and background, racial identity, and gender.

I have a particular interest in Analytical Psychology and Relational Transactional Analysis.

I work especially with:

  • Feeling hopeless and stuck
  • Identity (Racial, Sexual, Gender, Neurodivergence)
  • Fragmentation, Trauma, Panic
  • Dreams
  • Sexuality
  • Eating disorders
  • Psychosis
  • Making sense of what happens or has happened

I subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the HCPC and UKCP, and I am fully covered by Professional Liability Insurance.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an Italian integrative Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist (HCPC and BPS accredited, UKCP Accredited). I am a Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist (CTA) and a Provisional Training and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA).

I have over a decade of experience working with people in mental health and social care, both in private and public settings.

I have experience with Autism, Psychosis, and Eating Disorders as a Psychologist first and then as a Psychotherapist. These impactful settings and experiences, and the people I have met during them, have taught me that there is no pain that cannot be attended to.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
