About me

* Online Sessions Available*

I am a qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) offering online sessions.

As an integrative counsellor, my approach incorporates humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour (CBT) modalities, which are tailored to a client's individual needs.

I believe that the most important aspect of counselling is a strong therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client. I aim to provide a warm, safe, supportive, non-judgemental space, which allows you to challenge established ways of thinking and being. Working collaboratively I aim to help you evaluate your needs to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, enabling you to make empowered choices.

From my previous experience in the world of media and the creative industries I understand the pressures on the individual in the workplace and home, and the impact it can have. This informs my practice which includes working with a wide variety of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, addiction, relationship and workplace issues and bereavement.

If you are thinking about counselling/therapy but are nervous or unsure please do contact me and I would be happy to explain how the process works.

I have a broad range of clinical experience working within the NHS, London Authorities and Private Practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor holding an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Post-Graduate Certificate in CBT and I abide by the BACP code of ethics.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of theories and modalities which means that I can provide a therapeutic experience specific to your needs. In our work together I hope to give a new understanding and practical tools which will serve you in the future.

I have a broad range of clinical experience working within the NHS, London Authorities and Private Practice.

I offer short term and long term online counselling.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
