About me

I am a fully qualified experienced counsellor and clinical supervisor based in Southport, Merseyside.

I am very committed to providing counselling in a safe and non-judgmental environment that helps you to speak freely about the things that most concern you. Sharing your thoughts and feelings with someone other than family and friends can help you make sense of what is troubling you or preventing you from moving on with your life in a positive way.

My counselling practice reflects the theory of the Person Centred approach, and I believe that you, the client, is a person of worth and value with resources to change and grow. Often people find that the insight and awareness gained through counselling can help them feel more confident and more able to cope with the stresses in their life.

Remember you do not have to be in a crisis situation to benefit from counselling. Some clients present with difficult and long suffering issues but sometimes clients just feel dissatisfied with their life or want to find a balance.

An essential part of the counselling relationship is confidentiality and every session will be treated with respect, discretion and confidentiality.

Sessions can be both short term or open ended. Sometimes deep rooted problems may require long term counselling, while specific issues can sometimes be addressed in less sessions. Whatever the issues you may have it will always be at your pace and will never be directive or judgemental.

Professional Ethics

  • I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
