Georgina Tidey PGDip
I offer long term and short term counselling in Brighton and Hove.
I use an integrative approach to counselling, an approach which does not deem one approach of therapy to be superior to another. I work with each client in an individual way, because, well, that's what you are, an individual.
My main focus, no matter the issue, be it depression, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, relationship issues affairs and betrayals, or any of the other many reasons people come to therapy, is working with you to build a genuine, trusting, consistent and safe relationship where I hope you will feel able to share and explore thoughts and feelings that may have otherwise felt to difficult to look at.
Building this relationship and taking a journey through difficult issues is a commitment and takes time, when we meet we can establish a set day and time for our sessions which, will offer you consistency and the knowledge of when that precious time for you to explore yourself each week will be.
Finding the right Counsellor
I understand that finding the right counsellor can be difficult and believe that finding a counsellor with who you feel you can build a trusting and safe relationship with is also essential to getting what you need from therapy. It is really very normal for clients to meet with 2 or 3 counsellors before making a decision on the right counsellor for them and you may wish to do the same thing.
On this basis I offer an initial telephone consultation free of charge, allowing space for you to ask me any questions you may have with a view to giving you a clearer picture as to whether or not I am the right Counsellor for you.
