Georgina Cameron, Chartered Counselling Psychologist
Equilibrium Therapy Centre
88 Pulborough Road
Counselling offers an opportunity to explore and understand what is happening in your life, to reflect on changes you may want to make and to get support in making those changes. Counselling also offers the possibility of personal development, to let go of self-defeating patterns of behaviour and to find ways to live a richer and fuller life.
I have studied various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Person-Centred therapy, Systemic Therapy and Integrative therapy allowing me the knowledge and experience to tailor my approach to both the individual and their presenting issues.
Some of the varying presenting issues I have worked with over the ten years I have been in practice include:
Anxiety & panic attacks
Bereavement and Loss
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Abuse (emotional, physical and sexual)
Performance and confidence issues
Gender Identity concerns
Work related issues (e.g. bullying, conflict, redundancy)
Life changes (e.g. divorce, retirement, loss)
I have gained experience as a psychologist working within the private sector for corporate clients and through my work in the NHS both in community mental health and primary care settings in addition to seeing private clients.
I can offer you a caring, safe and confidential environment in which to explore your issues and work through them with help from an experienced psychologist. My aim is to enable you to enhance your life and live it more fully.
I offer both short-term (6-20 sessions) or more open-ended therapy with individuals.
I also offer supervision for qualified professionals and trainees.
I can see clients under the following insurance companies: Aviva Health, AXA PPP Healthcare and BUPA
On this website I have set out some information about myself, my approach to therapy, the services I offer and how to contact me. I hope you find it useful. If you have any questions that you cannot find answers to here, then please feel free to contact me, either by phone or by e-mail.
