I am an integrative counsellor experienced in working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, stress, work problems and many more. I have helped clients in dealing with the effects of trauma, abuse and self-harming.
There are challenging moments in our lives when we need guidance to make sense of what is happening to us. Therapy can help promoting self-awareness, which leads to the capacity for better relationships, both personally and professionally. You'll find alternative perspectives, new possibilities and an enhanced sense of strength and wellbeing.
I offer a warm and safe space where you will be heard as a whole and unique individual. Together we will explore how you can transform unhelpful patterns into positive ones and reach your full potential.
My approach is integrative, which means that I work in the present (humanistic) while exploring the root causes in the past (psychodynamic). Most important for me is a good therapeutic relationship, which is the necessary basis for the process to be successful.
Depending on your needs that we will assess together, I can offer short-term solution-focused or long-term-in-depth therapy.
I come with a background of migration and therefore I have a particular understanding of difference and multiculturalism.
I am fluent in English, Italian and French and offer therapy in those languages.
I have experience of working at a community counselling service in Waterloo where I see clients from the general public.
