Gail Peterson, PG Dip (counselling & psychotherapy)

Hi, my name is Gail Peterson and I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor. I undertake private practice as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist.
I can work with both long term and short term clients. I have experience working for a variety of counselling agencies and working for the NHS where I worked with a wide variety of issues. I also work for a Mental Health charity which I feel complements my work as a therapist.
I have worked with people affected by a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, addiction, bullying in the workplace, bereavement, Post Natal Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, sexual problems and have worked with clients with disabilities and learning difficulties.
I understand how difficult it can be making the first steps into counselling and finding the right counsellor. This may seem like a scary or unnerving process, and although it can be difficult, I believe that counselling can be a transformative process. It can bring many benefits in a person’s day to day life, personal relationships and general well being. I offer a safe space to bring difficult issues and feelings of any kind, at your own pace.
Finding the right counsellor to work with is key, and I am more than happy for you to contact me with no obligation, free of charge, initial chat over the phone to find out if we could work together. We can discuss whether counselling is right for you before you decide if you would like to proceed.
If your interested in finding out more feel free to give me a call or email me, I'm flexible in location and days and times.
I look forward to hearing from you
