Foteini Palyvou, Integrative Psychotherapist MSc, BSc, Clin. Dip., UKCP Reg.
Hello and thank you for visiting my counselling page. My name is Foteini and I am a relational, integrative psychotherapist.
As well as having our own unique spirit upon entering the world, our early relationships continue to shape our sense of self in helpful and limiting ways. Relational Psychotherapy helps clients to identify those experiences that hold them back, see their part in ongoing struggles and consequently become the answer to their future happiness and fulfilment.
As an integrative practitioner I am able to draw upon multiple perspectives to make sense of the issues that may be troubling you and support you to become empowered to experiment with new ways of being and relating that bring a sense of purpose and meaning.
Training, qualifications & experience
MSc Integrative Psychotherapy - Metanoia Institute
Clinical Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy - Metanoia Institute
BSc (Hons) Psychology - University of Surrey
Foundation certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling - Regent’s College
UKCP registered psychotherapist
I have also completed training courses in bereavement and eating disorders and have extensive training in trauma and attachment.
I have extensive experience of working with clients as a relational, integrative psychotherapist for 9 years. During this time I have worked with issues of childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, shame and low self-esteem, adult trauma, work related problems, relationship problems, issues relating to identity, purpose and meaning, sexuality and gender, and current relational struggles.
I also have a particular interest in working with individuals who are identical or fraternal twins, and who have found their twinship to be both a source of happiness and distress.
