About me

When & How Counselling Can Help

Sometimes during life’s journey the going gets tough & we can find ourselves struggling and/or feeling stuck/trapped, coping with high levels of anxiety or depression. At those times, it can be hard to admit that we could use some help. Often concerns about the impact of sharing our troubles with friends and/or family can keep us silent, leading to difficulties in our relationships.

The first step of any journey is often the most difficult.

If you are reading this, then you have already taken a first step towards your future and have begun to look and see what support is available to assist you through the difficulty.

Counselling can provide a valuable space outside your normal social & family circles in which to explore the things, large or small, that are troubling you on your journey.

The sessions are usually weekly on the same day and at the same time each week. We will discuss the number of sessions needed when we meet.

I will work with you to explore thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour which, often unconsciously, affect how you relate to others and to situations in your life.

This can enable you to release any suppressed feelings and outdated behaviours and explore new ways to deal with difficulties which will allow you to move forward in your life.

I welcome an initial phone call (free of charge) to talk briefly about your needs and what I am able to offer.

Call me on 07501 855319 or visit www.fionadetrey-counselling.co.uk for further information.
