About me

Jo offers a holistic, bespoke therapy process incorporating relaxation, meditation & art therapy techniques to support client's needs. Jo addresses clients spiritual, emotional, cognitive, social and physical needs as part of their therapy process

Jo is a qualified Integrative Counsellor accessing all psychotherapy modalities, & a Life/Work/NLP Coach with over 25yrs prior experience of using counselling skills within education, early years & management. Her holistic approach enables her to offer a bespoke therapy process to all age ranges.

Jo is a member of the BACP, has been CRB checked for over 10yrs consecutively and accesses regular training and supervision.

She has taken a wide range of supporting/managing/supervisory & mentoring roles and worked with people of all ages experiencing a diverse range of issues and constraints affecting their physical, emotional, cognitive and social abilities. Jo also delivers well-being training to organisations, is a Reiki Master & Trainer, NLP/Life & Work Coach, a Complementary Therapist and has also studied Crystal & Colour Therapy.

Jo has also been a training consultant supporting early years & education providers with bespoke training packages.

Further information

Her work in education has included group work through art, meditation, music and relaxation, all of which she incorporates in her work where appropriate. Her interest in arts, music and spirituality also inform her holistic approach in client work.

Jo has worked therapeutically with children from as young as 3yrs in nurseries through primary, secondary & further education with young people, adults & disadvantaged individuals. Jo is experienced in both group and individual work.

Jo has worked within a charity as well as private practise and runs local classes to promote the well being of others.

Jo’s management roles in a range of organisations have enabled her to gain extensive supervision skills and experience in guiding, supporting and working in partnership with supervisees.

Jo has worked with a wide range of issues including: depression, chronic fatigue, sexual abuse, bereavement, fears/phobias, drug & alcohol abuse, domestic violence, relationship issues, self harm tendencies, illness, work related stress, cultural issues, sexuality, all types of abuse, eating disorders, parenting issues, bullying, bipolar, family issues, self-esteem/confidence and homelessness.
