Felicity Oppe. MSc. Systemic Psychotherapy, BSc. Counselling.
89 Fairwater Rd
I am a family therapist and a systemic counsellor working independently from dedicated counselling rooms in Fairwater/Llandaff.
I work with families who are experiencing difficulties following divorce and separation and the impact that this has on children and young people and other family members. I work with families where family courts have recommended that family therapy might be useful in resolving conflict between children and parents following divorce and separation.
I work with families experiencing difficulties following bereavement and loss and families where intimate partner violence has resulted in family breakup or the risk of family breakdown.
I also work with families where behavioural issues are resulting in stress and problems with communication and trust.
Systemic Family Therapy can be useful in these kinds of circumstances. As a systemically trained practitioner I aim for neutrality and open communication, providing a safe space for exploration and open dialogue.
As a counsellor I also work with individuals looking for a safe space to discuss and explore both long standing and more recent difficulties.
I am a registered member of The Association of Family Therapist and The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapist (UKCP) both of which work to high ethical and professional standards. I am registered to with work with children, young people, adults, couples and families. I was trained at The Family Institute, University South Wales.
I have worked for several years as a Systemic Family Therapist with Action for Children in Talbot Green and in Caerphilly and have worked as a school's counsellor in Tredegar and Cardiff.
My fees start at £30 per hour for individuals, £40 per hour for couples and £50 per hour for families.
I offer reductions for people on low wages or those living on benefits.
