About me

There is more to you than your anxiety, post-traumatic stress, sleep issues, burnout, panic attacks, low self-esteem or sense that there could be so much more to life.

I offer a safe, confidential space to help you explore your feelings around these issues as well as simple and effective tools to help you handle them.

As your BACP accredited counsellor, therapeutic coach or integrative clinical supervisor, I’ll support you in helping yourself.

Drawing on my wide range of therapies (including yoga, NLP and EFT) and many years’ experience, I’ll help you make enjoyable and sustainable improvements.

I offer long term, mid term and short term (brief solution-focused) counselling, therapeutic coaching and integrative clinical supervision from the Feel Better Every Day Consultancy* in Witham, Essex and from Colchester, Essex as well as via telephone and online wherever you're based.

Please visit www.feelbettereveryday.co.uk to find out more about how we might work together – I look forward to talking to you soon.

* Based in the heart of Witham (in a beautiful listed building on the high street), there is free parking for evening and weekend appointments. The Feel Better Every Day Consultancy is also well served by public transport

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a coach in 2004 and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and a Post Graduate Certificate in Integrative Counselling and Coaching (one of the first group in the UK to be qualified to post-graduate level as an integrative coach-therapist).

To help you as quickly, effectively and ethically as possible, I integrate other therapies I am qualified and experienced in as appropriate. These include yoga therapy, mindfulness, NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

It is always up to you - many of my clients like this integrative approach but if you only want counselling, that's absolutely fine.

A freelance psychology, health and wellbeing writer (evemenezescunningham.co.uk) since 2004, I contribute advice, columns and features for a wide range of national, specialist and international print and online titles.

My first book, 365 Ways to Feel Better: Self-care for Embodied Wellbeing (White Owl, 2017, £14.99) has a different self-care tool for each day of the year. You can access bonus videos and audios at www.feelbettereveryday.co.uk/book

I've served on the British Association for the Counselling Professions' (BACP)
Coaching Executive since 2014, initially as Specialist for Communications and, now (since January 2017), as Chair.

My qualifications include:

Advanced Supervision, Therapeutic Supervision, Group Supervision and CORE Supervision certificates in Integrative Clinical Supervision from the Centre of Supervision and Team Development (CSTD London). I completed my Integrative Clinical Supervision training in 2016 and, while I work towards overall certification, am offering low cost supervision.

Post Graduate Certificate in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London (UEL) - 2014

Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis & Education Trust (accredited by UEL and BACP) - 2012

Yoga Therapist for Mental Health certified by The Minded Institute (registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK) - 2012

NLP Master Practitioner from INLPTA (registered with ANLP) - 2008

Accredited and certified Advanced EFT Practitioner (registered with AAMET) - 2016 (Level 2 Practitioner since 2006)

Life Coaching Diploma and Certificate from Newcastle College - 2004

Crystal Therapy Diploma from ICCH - 2004

Other areas of counselling I deal with

All my work encourages self-care and I love supporting clients in better supporting themselves. My specialisms include self-esteem and confidence, resilience, stress, anxiety, depression and burnout, trauma, PTSD, self-harm, sleep issues and maximising potential.

www.feelbettereveryday.co.uk gives more information and you can get in touch today if you would like to find out more.

If (after your free, no obligation telephone consultation) I feel I can help you and you choose to work with me, we'll begin with a 90 minute assessment session (later sessions last 60 minutes) and decide how to proceed from there.

I usually recommend starting with 6 sessions after which we'll review things and decide whether or not you want to continue with open ended counselling. Occasionally, 6 sessions is enough for people but usually, longer term is more effective.

Sometimes, during the initial 90 minutes, you may decide you'd prefer longer 'breakthrough' sessions.

We can talk about the options during these early sessions.

http://feelbettereveryday.co.uk/payment/how-much gives more information about fees and payment options.
