About me

Are you looking for counselling or psychotherapy?
I offer individual and group analytic psychotherapy in Central Salisbury.
You might be suffering from anxiety, or having difficulties in your relationships with others, or feeling depressed or at a loss. Please do get in touch and we can work together to find a way forward.

It's understandable to feel unsure and hesitant about seeking help. It's a big step to take. Please give me a ring or send me a message. I'm always happy to discuss any questions. I manage all my own messages and can assure you of strict confidence in any communication we have.

I aim to respond promptly, usually within 1-2 days.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am registered as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Group Analyst/Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am a professional member of the Institute of Group Analysis. I have completed a long training to Master's level in Psychotherapy. I have to abide by strict codes of conduct.

In addition to my private practice I have clinical experience in various health settings: having worked as a psychotherapist in outpatient NHS psychotherapy departments, and with GP’s in Health Centres. I have been involved in the training of counsellors and psychotherapists with Wessex Counselling Service. I facilitated an experiential group and have supported students individually. I also run two once weekly analytic groups in Salisbury.

I'm interested in the link between the body and the mind and have previously run a Group for those with breast cancer diagnoses.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
