About me

I AM OFFERING COUNSELLING SESSIONS  face to face, phone & zoom sessions.

Let me tell you a little about how I work. I am an experienced Counsellor who  provides a safe and confidential space that allows my clients to know that i am right there with them. I am empathetic and non-judgemental with alI of my clients, no matter what they share with me. I practice person-centred, CBT, couples,  and psychodynamic theory in my counselling. Although i like to help my client stick with the situation that is happening to them right now, sometimes it is important to see how my client has coped with similar circumstances in the past to find coping strategies and to gain a greater understanding of my clients.

I believe that counselling is a purposeful relationship in which one person supports another to help themselves. It is an activity of listening and responding which encourages exploration of thoughts, feelings and behaviour in order to reach a clearer self understanding.

I was  a volunteer Bereavement Counsellor at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester for two years when i was training and found it so rewarding. I offer a safe and comfortable environment so my clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and emotions about any situation that they would like to share. I am a great listener and I find helping to support my clients whilst they go through difficult situations within their life so rewarding.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my Therapeutic Counselling Diploma at Bromley College in June 2016. I completed my level 2, level 3 at Rochester Adult Education Centre over the last four years. I also have a level 4 Diploma in Psychology. I have work as a volunteer counsellor at the Wisdom Hospice in Rochester as a bereavement counsellor and in the past did a placement at Turning Point as a drug and alcohol misuse counsellor.

I have completed a many courses over the years including Eating Disorders. Self harm, Suicide, Bereavement, Autism, Transgender, ADHD, BPD, Depression, Anxiety, Alcohol and drug misuse, Addiction, Fertility issues, Couples counselling, CBT etc....

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
