Everyone comes to a point in their lives where they feel anxious, depressed, or stuck in a situation they can't seem to get out of. Counselling can help you cope with these types of issues, along with many others. Many people find it beneficial to talk about sensitive issues to someone who is not involved in their everyday lives. I can offer a professional perspective and allow you the freedom and space to talk freely about your concerns.
It is my belief that you are the expert on your own life, and counselling is a time and space dedicated to helping you find the best way forward, no matter what you are facing. As your counsellor, it will be my aim to help you meet your goals, and I will work alongside you to offer helpful feedback in a safe and confidential environment.
I have worked with a number of clients and helped them cope with their current problems, while making connections to the unresolved issues from their past that are contributing to their struggles. It is my aim to help you find more effective coping strategies that will enable you to live the life you want and provide you with a greater capacity to make choices in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
BA Psychology, MA Counselling, MBACP
I work as an integrative therapist, drawing on counselling techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and the Person Centred Approach, in order to help you get the most out of therapy.
I have completed both a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counselling, with a combined total of 7 years of training at a higher education level.
I have worked in private practice, in a sober living home for people struggling with addiction, and in a family counselling centre. I am able to help with a number of different mental and emotional issues. Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and my fee is currently £35 per session.
