About me

Children and adults' emotional injuries may take many forms such as relationship issues, family difficulties, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, crippling fear, eating disorders and other addictions, physical illness, loss and grief.

Emilia tailors her treatment to the unique needs of her clients, applying psychodynamic and supportive counselling in her treatment.

Emilia believes therapy is both a practical and creative process and potentially, a transformative one. It is the result of the therapist and patient forming a unique therapeutic relationship and together, creating change and development.

Her work began 15 years ago with a focus on working with babies and toddlers from Romanian Orphanages, then in the UK with children, adolescents and families on complex family issues and trauma.

She also gets inspired from working closely with, fellow Jungian and psychodynamic therapists, visual artists and writers. Emilia has a special interest in the creative process and give space for intuitive process to facilitate personal development and dream work.

Emilia is BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Approved Counsellor with Barnado's Adoption Agency that is registered to provide Adoption placement and support service. (Supp no. 70743)

'In my fifteen years in working with people in distress I have come to know, both personally and professionally, that there are many psychological injuries that can be healed but that there are also some that cannot. However, we can learn to compensate for such deep injuries by developing other parts of ourselves so that we do not lead with our wounds.'
