Lizzie Kelly BSc (Hons) MBACP
I provide an effective, professional and affordable therapy service to support you in exploring and learning new ways of managing and overcoming emotional difficulties. As an experienced, pro-active and compassionate therapist I can work with you to create real change and achieve sustainable results in improving your emotional wellbeing and happiness.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist who believes passionately in the effectiveness of talking therapy for the treatment of individuals struggling with mental health difficulties. By working collaboratively, you are encouraged to achieve a greater self-awareness and empowered to find resolution for past difficulties and solutions to current unhelpful ways of thinking and being. The work is often challenging but by creating a therapeutic relationship built on empathy and honesty, devoid of judgement, you are supported and accompanied all the way in order to achieve the goals and make the changes you choose for a happier and more fulfilling life.

Finding the right therapist that works for you is vital to the effectiveness of the therapy- the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the process. Can I talk to this person? Do I feel listened to and understood? Can I trust them with my ‘stuff’? In order to establish whether we are a ‘good fit’ I offer a free 30 minute initial appointment where we do just that. It is an opportunity for us to meet one another and for me to take some details about why you are considering coming for therapy and to discuss some goals and objectives. It is also a space for you to ask any questions or express any concerns about the process of therapy and how you are feeling about that.
