Elizabeth Day MA, Registered Member MBACP (Accred)
Welcome to my profile; I hope you will find the information you need, but please feel free to contact me if you have any queries about what I have outlined here.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist offering professional, confidential counselling to adults at my practice on the south side of St Albans. Counselling can help when personal issues become overwhelming, and it can take courage to seek help. Talking therapy creates a space just for you, where you can explore your concerns without fear of judgement, and you may find that it becomes possible to see things from a new perspective, with greater clarity, perhaps enabling you to make changes and discover more about who you are.
If you decide to contact me, we would usually arrange an initial session where we would explore what has led you to seek therapy, and think about what issues you would like to focus on. You may wish to work for a fixed number of sessions, or you may prefer to work in an open-ended way. We would usually meet for one session per week, on the same day and time each week. There is no pressure, and we would go at your pace.
As an Accredited Member of BACP (Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Accred)) I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I attend regular supervision, which is a requirement of my profession and supports the quality of my work, and I am fully insured.
My practice is located on the outskirts of St Albans, close to the A414. The A1(M) (Junction3) and M25 (Junction 22) are also nearby. Parking is plentiful and free. Evening sessions are available.
