About me

I am an experienced and qualified gestalt psychotherapist with over 10 years of therapy service in London. I am registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). I see clients in my private practice in consulting rooms in SE1.

You may be currently facing difficult times and be looking for a supportive presence, someone to explore the obstacles in your path and examine the deep-seated patterns of the past.  My approach is to support and challenge you to look at and expand your potential, helping you to get a fuller sense of the way you feel, think and act in different situations and at different times, through awareness of your moment-to-moment activity in the therapeutic setting.

Gestalt Psychotherapy emphasises developing a better way of relating to ourselves, others and the wider environment and is a therapy which explores many life issues including: relationship problems, stress, anger, anxiety, depression, sexuality, work issues, confidence, low self esteem and bereavement.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been working as a psychotherapist for 10 years in both private practice and with MIND.  I also work as a strategic business coach for people running their own businesses.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

What to Expect:

We will have an initial telephone conversation about your circumstances at which we can organize an assessment session.  The initial assessment session, 50 minutes and paid for, is important in order to experience working with each other.   During this time you will have an opportunity to talk in more detail about what brought you to therapy, clarify goals and get an idea about my way of working.

Towards the end of this session we can then discuss how it went and whether we think counseling/psychotherapy would work between us.

If we decide to work together, I can offer a limited number of weekly sessions, minimum 6, or open ended weekly sessions where we do the therapy and regularly review how it is going but have no set number of sessions in mind.

Details of the contract to be agreed during the first session will include confidentiality, safety, fees agreed and term of contract along with a regular allocated weekly time for our sessions.
