Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a counsellor for six years and hold an MA in Counselling from the University of Manchester. My counselling approach incorporates different counselling styles including CBT techniques, Person-Centred theory and the Egan model.

I have experience working with children, teenagers and adults in a counselling setting; dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, and relationship difficulties.

My special area of interest is the concept of self-care and how it can help deal with stress and burnout. I have carried out research in this area and my findings were published in the Health Care Counselling and Psychotherapy Journal.
