Within my practice I work with adults for either short-term or long-term counselling, helping with a wide range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, bereavement, relationship issues etc. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental service
I am a fully qualified experienced integrative counsellor with a psychology background and mental health experience, which enables me to draw on various therapeutic modalities (psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT, transpersonal, Transactional Analysis etc.) in order to meet the individual needs of each client.
I am holistic in my approach and work with a person as a whole rather than focusing just on a symptom or presenting issue. I take into consideration all aspects of the human being (emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and social) as difficulties can manifest themselves on different levels, for example physical symptoms are often a warning sign of an unresolved emotional problem, destructive mental attitudes, unexpressed feelings etc.
I like to combine the advantages of contemporary science with ancient traditional methods incorporating mindfulness, meditation, visualisation, TFT (tapping technique), grounding and relaxation techniques into my clinical practice.
We all possess a natural inner capacity to recognise what is best for us however we often become disconnected from this resource due to painful or traumatic experiences during our lifetime.
My ultimate aim would be to reconnect you with your natural resources helping you to rediscover yourself and recognise what you need in order to make authentic choices, to grow and to move forwards fulfilling your potential and resolving your issues.
