About me

Reg.MBACP NHS and private psychotherapist working in London within walking distance London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo.

Counselling is a space to talk, think and be listened to in confidence with a professional who will respect you and the difficulties you are experiencing.

In a safe and confidential setting, I offer:

  • Short term and long term counselling
  • Warm, open and non-judgmental support based on your specific needs
  • Active and collaborative therapy
  • Experience and knowledge of helping individuals with a wide range of difficulties, from feelings of depression and anxiety, stress & panic, low self esteem, relationship issues, family issues, bereavement and work problems.

I believe each individual has unique needs and experiences that they bring with them and it is important to give each person the space to tell their own story so that we can identify the best approach to working together.

Perhaps you would like to focus on a specific challenge in your life.  Or maybe you would like to take the time to explore more deep rooted issues that seem to be affecting your ability to cope in the present. I believe the insight you gain from our work together will enable you to feel more stable in your life and more capable of living it the way that you desire.  Working with the right counsellor for you can bring about lasting, positive change.

Making contact:
Taking the first step of making contact can often feel like the hardest part of the process. It is normal to feel nervous and sometimes that anxiety can convince us not to pursue therapy. In my experience, counselling can benefit any individual. We all deserve the chance to be heard and understood. I am happy to speak to you on the phone or via email to start with and take it from there.

The first step is to set up an initial consultation. This is a chance to explore what you are looking for, your own background and you will get a clearer idea of the way I work.  What we discuss is private and confidential and at the end of the consultation you will be able to decide whether to arrange further sessions with me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
