Counselling is helpful when life presents challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, family issues, trauma. My counselling approach is interactive and equal, myself and the client working together on the issues they bring. I am interested in helping people feel a sense of belonging, and of courage to tackle what life throws at them. We work together to find a way to change our response to difficulties, to give ourselves more choice.
In my private practice, I work with young people and adults, including families and couples.
I also work with couples, exploring communication, dealing with challenges as a couple, encouragement for the individual within the couple and how this can help resolve many issues.
I am also a qualified Family Counsellor, happy to work with the whole family, to explore the dynamics that cause friction in daily life, and to find ways to increase cooperation, so that each family member has a place in the group which is equal and valued.
I am a member of National Counselling Society (MNCS (Accred)).
I also offer supervision for counsellors and others in the helping professions. This can be one-to-one or in small groups. Contact me for details.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My fee for one to one and couples counselling is £50 per hour, although I have a limited number of client places for which I can offer a sliding scale, depending on financial circumstances, and I offer counselling to students for a reduced fee.
The fee for family counselling is £50 per session
I am also an experienced trainer, and am happy to put together bespoke training for companies, organisations who work in the counselling/caring/health fields.
