About me

Whether your problem seems big or small, feel free to contact me in confidence. I am qualified and BACP registered with 13 years experience helping people with many issues - stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work problems, bereavement, abuse, health conditions, (see below),   I offer a free half hour session for you to talk about what is bringing you to counselling and for you to see if you would like me as your counsellor. Some weekend appointments available.

About counselling:

Considering counselling might be a first positive step for you to talk about and find solutions for whatever issues are affecting you and your life. Counsellors are trained to provide professional assistance and guidance to help people resolve personal feelings and problems.  I see my counselling role as helping my clients work through their issues and supporting them during this process. I would be happy to tell you more about this.  You can be confident that you will receive warmth and respect from your initial call or email and throughout any ongoing counselling with me.

Your counselling time gives you a space where you can talk and be listened to in a way that might not be possible in any other place.  Telling family and friends about your issues can sometimes lead to unwelcome advice, Or maybe what you are experiencing or how you are feeling is too personal to share with people you know. In my counselling room we will work together to help you resolve issues affecting your life and help you find your own answers and pathways and be empowered by this. Experience has taught me how valuable emotional support is to people, and how important it is that people feel empowered to take control of their lives and make their own decisions.

Your time in my counselling room belongs to you and allows you to talk confidentially about what is important and key to you. Everyone is different and during your sessions with me you will be respected as the individual you are.

There are many benefits and results from counselling and psychotherapy. I would be pleased to talk to you about counselling generally and whether the type of counselling I offer would be right for you, or to point you in other directions for your needs.  We can do this on the telephone or during a face-to-face meeting.

I work with adults, young people (13+), older people and people who have long term health conditions (such as epilepsy and stroke) and their carers.
