You will see from my photo that I have no hair. This is due to a condition called Alopecia which I have had for many years, so you can be sure that I fully understand how it can feel to be faced with situations when life just doesn't go according to plan.
Life is very good at throwing us challenges of many kinds, which can have an impact on our emotional well being. This may be a challenge relating to an event or situation which is ongoing, something that happened recently, or some challenge/experience from the past or childhood that is having an impact on the way you are feeling today. It may be the case that you are feeling that life just isn't as fulfilling as you would like and are struggling to find an answer as to why this might be, or how to move forward. I will offer you a safe, non judgmental and confidential place and space to explore what is happening, and to help you to find a way forward that is right for you.
As an integrative therapist I draw on a number of different counselling methods. I will work with you in a way that is most appropriate to you as the individual you are.
I believe that the relationship between a counsellor and their client is vital to therapy being successful and it is therefore important to find a counsellor that you feel comfortable with. I offer a free introductory session with no obligation which will last for 30 minutes for you to meet me and see if you feel we can work together.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and as such I work within their 'Ethical Framework', which means at all times I work in the best interests of my clients. I also take part in monthly clinical supervision, again ensuring best practice. For more information on the BACP please visit www.bacp.co.uk
