Counselling offers a safe and supportive space where you will have time to talk about things that you may be experiencing as upsetting, confusing or difficult. It could be that you are feeling low, anxious, or 'just not your usual self', without really understanding why. You might be struggling to find meaning in your life. Talking with a professional Counsellor may help you better understand why you are feeling this way and support you in considering and making changes to improve things for yourself.
- My Background:
I began as a Bereavement Support Volunteer, for Cruse Bereavement Care Belfast, in 2004. Since then I have counselled within the N.I. Independent Counselling Service for Schools; worked as a community-based Counsellor in North and West Belfast; became an Affiliate Counsellor with a number of Employee Assistance Programme providers, as well as having my own private practice. I spent a year counselling in Dublin, 2014/15, and I am now based in Belfast, providing one-to-one counselling support to adults.
- Finding Out More:
Counselling is a personal choice and may not be for everyone, so, if you would like to find out more about counselling and/or to explore if it is the best support service for you, I would be happy to meet with you for a initial consultation session to discuss this.
