As a Psychologist I use a warm and friendly yet clinical approach. The aim is to empower the client and provide skills, knowledge and adaptable techniques to create effective change. This approach has been very successful with clients looking for definite change in their life.
As a Psychotherapist I respect the clients process and work with this to enable the client to find realistic ways forward. This can be interesting and engaging for a client as they uncover new understanding about themselves. It may also mean working through distressing past issues which are possibly causing blocks in the client's life.
I have specialist training in working with anxiety and related stress behaviours. Much of my work involves the management of depression, panic, addictions and thought disorders. I've recently completed a training on anger management with the Human Givens College.
