I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor with 18 years experience in the profession. My practice is in Wallingford and is close to bus routes and offers parking.I provide a safe and confidential service for individuals and couples who are seeking therapy.
Because I respect and warmly accept that each person has their own unique individuality, I do not believe that one approach works for all. My primary approach is Humanistic (Relational Transactional Analysis) drawing on other models such as Psychodynamic, CBT Visualisation work and attachment theories.
Over the years I have worked with many different and difficult issues and disorders where I utilise a range of approaches to help you resolve life limiting issues. I also have some special interest in depression and anxiety. Whatever is going on for you, don't be afraid to ask for professional help. /p>
When working with couples,Transactional Analysis is a model that I find particularly helpful as it helps them to understand how they communicate with each other.
I have personally experienced long term therapy as I believe that in order to be an effective therapist you really need to be ok with yourself. Also, my own therapeutic journey helped me to understand that although sometimes difficult and painful, you 'can' benefit from the experience and grow as a person

Diploma in Psychotherapy Metanoia Institute, London.
Diploma in Integrative Counselling CSCT Westminster College Oxford.
Cert. working with Depression and Anxiety (Mindfullness, London)
Over the years I have experience of working with a residential Therapeutic Community, Employment Assistance Programmes, GP referrals and my own Practice.
I also work with trainee Psychotherapists and Counsellors and have experience of sitting on exam boards for Counsellors.
I am an Accredited member of BACP, and a registered member of UKCP and ITA. I follow the ethical standards of both BACP and UKCP.
