I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and am currently studying on a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology; as I am constantly thriving to learn more about the complexities of human beings.
'Knowing thyself' is a never ending journey. I feel like generally there is a shared passion for those who come to therapy in which they are searching to find out more about themselves, and I always find myself really honoured to be allowed to be on that journey with them.
Whether you are in a crisis, a difficult transition period in your life, are going through a loss....
Are feeling lost and confused, difficulty making sense of things or your emotions- therapy can help.
I could write in my profile a lot of the therapy jargon, but I don't think that helps.....
I think the most important thing to know is I am warm, open minded, down to earth and do not judge.
I aim to tailor therapy to the individual as people are complex and what might work for one person will not work for another.
I'm happy to explain my approach and if you have any questions I will try my best to put your mind at ease.
Offering counselling throughout Islington...... N1, N5 and N7 postcodes.
I'm sure it might be quite nerve racking reading this profile and considering beginning therapy- but it can also be quite exciting and even liberating! Some people don't come to therapy with 'problems' but with 'unused resources.' We can look at that together.
I believe that we must work together to have a successful therapeutic relationship, so I strive to achieve that by offering a compassionate and relaxed space.
'I am not what happened to me.... I am what I chose to become' Carl Jung.
Availability daytimes and evenings: Please call or email to check availability, if not I will happily do my best to help and refer you on to a suitable colleague.

I have a wealth of experience in Bereavement and have worked extensively with Bereaved children within schools in Islington. I have also worked with bereaved adults primarily in their homes at this time of crisis in their lives.
I have a keen interest in 'anger management' and can tailor programmes to suit your 'anger' needs.
I am proficient in cognitive behaviour therapy which is helpful in treating anxiety and panic disorders- and can also offer solution focused therapies.
I can offer short term (6-13 sessions) for those who just wish to process, reflect and explore disruptions in their life.
Alternatively, longer term therapy can be a place for those who want greater awareness of themselves in order to gain perspective and understanding around their ideas, beliefs values, behaviour patterns and relationship dynamics.
I have worked in various settings including primary healthcare (Iapt services) as well as settings that offer longer more flexible work.
I can also work creatively- depending on your wants and needs.
