I am a registered, qualified counsellor, therapeutic Mentor and wellbeing practitioner, working in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

I have worked in children and young people and adult mental health support services in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, providing advocacy, therapeutic mentoring, emotional and psychological support, for the last four years.

All my work is person/child-centred and I counsel using an integrative approach, which means I use a range of therapeutic styles and methods to ensure I can meet the needs of my clients and their situations in the most appropriate way.

I have worked for Survive, who are a domestic abuse charity, supporting children and women, and parents who have experienced abuse.

This included the facilitation of support groups for children and young people to explore their responses to the effects of their experiences of domestic violence and abuse.
My aim is to engage the children with positive behaviours and choice making and to understand that none of what they have experienced is their fault.

I also facilitate peer support parenting workshops, working with the secure base model. Using the strengths of parents to overcome the challenges they are facing in parenting

All my work is person/child-centred and I counsel using an integrative approach, which means I use a range of therapeutic styles and methods to ensure I can meet the needs of my clients and their situations in the most appropriate way.

Further information

I attend individual fortnightly supervision and am part of a supervision group and counselling network which helps to ensure the quality of my work and my fitness to practice.

With my children and young people’s support and mentoring work, I use a range of therapeutic theory, methodology and interventions to create a bespoke programme of support, resilience building, insight and discovery to empower and promote positive autonomy.

I attend regular CPD training and events and keep my knowledge up to date with research and best practise.

I am a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy – BACP Membership No. 755356
