About me

Hi I'm Donna, I am a qualified, professional, friendly down to earth and approachable counsellor.

I work in North Manchester with rooms within easy reach of Bury, Radcliffe, Whitefield, Prestwich areas also Salford (Little Hulton), where I will strive to make you feel comfortable, supported and always ensure confidentiality.

I work with both adults and young people.

Whatever your reasons to seek counselling there is probably some aspect of your life that you aren’t happy with, it might be anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement or other loss in your life, or the way you feel might not have a name, you can't quite put your finger on it but you just don’t feel right.

I understand that taking the first step to seek help is often the most difficult and I appreciate that it takes courage to seek support, particularly if you’re feeling overwhelmed, or just out of sorts. Deciding to see a counsellor might make you feel apprehensive and nervous, which is perfectly natural, and I can provide a regular time and place for you to address your troubles and explore difficult feelings in a safe and supportive environment.

I use a person-centred model of counselling which allows me to help you work towards finding your own solutions in a supportive, emphatic, and caring way. I place great importance on building a trusting relationship and in our sessions, we can work out how to achieve the result that you would like.

Sessions are 50 minutes offered weekly. I am happy to offer a short free initial phone consultation before you book an appointment to help you see whether it feels right for you. If you would like to contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.

I provide support for people (including teenagers and young adults) struggling with a broad range of issues including depression, stress, anxiety, bulling at school or the workplace, relationship issues, self-esteem, bereavement and loss.

Young People

If a young person is coming for counselling, I would ask that the young person is coming of their own free will. They must want to come for counselling and not because an adult has said that they should.

At the assessment stage I would need a consent form to be signed by the adult who is responsible for the young person.
