About me

Counselling or therapy is talking to someone about issues that are affecting your wellbeing. You may not be sure what's making you feel the way you feel and counselling can be an effective way of exploring your emotions to try and gain some insight and perspective. I offer face to face, email or telephone support if you are feeling down, depressed, or anxious - if you are feeling alone or isolated - if you have lost confidence and self esteem - if you have suffered a loss or other life crisis.

I also offer supervision to counsellors and trainee counsellors who wish to develop their practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP accredited and registered counsellor with a post graduate diploma in counselling from the University of Strathclyde. As a person centred counsellor I offer general counselling for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems, stress and many more. Before entering private practice I counselled at a GP practice and a number of voluntary agencies offering generalised counselling help. As an accredited member of BACP I abide by their code of practice and ethics.
I have a COSCA certificate in supervision and offer supervision to trainee counsellors and qualified counsellors.

Supervision & training

Supervison to me is about offering a safe space where a counsellor or therapist can bring their real selves and explore how this relates to their practice without fear of judgement of any kind.
