To address the really important issues in our lives, it makes a big difference to be with another human being, one who can see things from your perspective, but at the same time, is not part of your everyday life.
Whether you have concerns in your life right now, worries about the future, or want to understand past experiences, counselling is a respectful and supportive process that can help you to meet life's challenges and move forward with a sense of purpose and meaning.
I aim to work together with my clients, in a collaborative way that is best suited to their unique needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have considerable experience as a psychologist, counsellor and psychotherapist, over the years working in many different settings, including the NHS.
I now divide my time between working as lecturer/supervisor of trainee counsellors at Roehampton University, and private clinical practice with clients, and supervisees.
I have trained in several modalities, and draw on existential/humanistic; psychoanalytic and CBT principles as appropriate.
(BSc (Hons) Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma Counselling & Psychotherapy, MA Counselling & Psychotherapy, Post MA Diploma Existential Counselling Pscyhology, Doctorate Psychotherapy)
