Derek Nasseri - Psychotherapist.
Over the past ten years I have worked with people from many different backgrounds. This has included a lot of different issues unique to the individuals, couples of families that I have worked with. From working individually with children and teens to working with couples and families. Sometimes it has been about having a space to explore a specific issue, other times it has been about talking about whatever it is that is on your mind that day or thinking about the past, present or future.
I am often told that I have a real calming nature in situations that might be really difficult. However equally important is being able to contain situations where calmness from a therapist might not be the thing that is needed. I work hard to make sure that we can find the best fit in therapy. In the past I have worked as a youth worker, a mentor to young people and with individuals, couples and families in therapy.
Whether you are low in mood, depressed, anxious, experiencing couple or family problems, mental health issues or any other issues, we can use our first meeting to think about whether there is a good fit and if we think that it would be helpful to continue. How long it carries on for depends on how long you find it useful for and what progress has been made, both of which we can regularly review.
