About me

If you are having difficulties with your mental health, relationships, behaviours or how you feel about yourself, I should be able to help you. I work in the NHS as a psychotherapist as well as privately.

I have years of experience of working with adults, families and children of all ages, and I have particular expertise in early years. Although I have a special interest in group psychotherapy, I am experienced at working with individuals, couples and families.

My usual way of working is to build up a longer term relationship, so that we can develop a deeper and wider understanding of the difficulties you may be experiencing, but I am also able to provide short-term, solution focused support.

It can be quite daunting taking the first step to seek help. You can call me if you like, or if you prefer to use text or email, I will be happy to call you back. We can spend some time on the phone deciding if the best next step is to have an initial consultation.  From there, we can decide what is the best way forward for you.

I operate a sliding scale depending on your circumstances, between £40 and £70 for individual sessions. If you decide to join one of my groups, the fees are also on a sliding scale, between £50 - £100 per month.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my training at the Institute of Group Analysis, among the most highly regarded training bodies in the UK. I have worked in the NHS, public sector and with private sector organisations.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
