I am a qualified Counsellor (AQA Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling). I am passionate about seeing people set free from issues and barriers to living their lives in a full way. I love being a part of the process of helping people to achieve their goals, move towards their dreams and become healed from their past experiences.

The type of counselling I do is mainly CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) as a core model. I work with a range of issues including general anxiety, social anxiety, depression, panic, family and relationship issues, self-harm, suicide risk, sleep issues, bereavement and loss, anger, stress, behavioural issues and bullying.
I have a Degree in Psychology and Sociology (BSc Hons in Combined Social Science – First Class). I have also done other relevant training such as Advice and Guidance, Safeguarding (Adults and Children), Suicide Risk and Health and Safety at Work.
I have been volunteering as a Counsellor in a local secondary school since January 2015, which has led to some work with Children’s Social Care and have been volunteering in supported housing for over 2 years as a Counsellor. I also have over 5 years experience working in supported housing as a Key Worker and Project Director working with young people.

I run a small counselling business called Free To Be and offer sessions at the price of £40 an hour to individuals, organisations and schools (and £30 an hour reduced rate for people on benefits and other concessions*).
For organisations/ schools... If there is more than one student at a school or employee within an organisation who requires counselling, I am able to offer a 10% reduction in the overall cost**.
*Reduced fees for people claiming income-based benefits (or other needs... please ask).
**Offer price quoted based on economies of scale, therefore, sessions to be held sequentially on the same day and offer available based on the full hourly rate.
I have a Supervisor who I can talk to if I have any concerns and I receive monthly supervision. This ensures that I’m working safely and ethically and to address anything that affects me personally. I am committed to personal development and training and engage in CPD (Continued Professional Development).
