About me

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist practicing in the Farringdon / Kings Cross area. I offer treatment for a range of problems including depression, generalised anxiety, stress, OCD, panic attacks and low self-esteem.

I started working in this field in 2009, and over my career I have worked in several NHS and Private services. I also supervise other therapists.

I chose to specialise in CBT because it has strong research evidence behind it, and clinical experience has shown me that it really does work!

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions
  • First Class BSc (Hons) Psychology

I have also completed several additional training courses in areas such as OCD, eating disorders (mild to moderate) and supervision of staff.

Burnout, Comfort Eating, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Insomnia / Sleep problems, Performance Anxiety, Perfectionism and Procrastination.

As well a the conditions listed above, I also offer CBT sessions focusing on living well with long-term health conditions. There is evidence that having anxiety or depression can make it harder to manage health conditions. For example, following a heart attack many people feel understandably anxious about exercising again. I can help you get back into your routine in a safe, manageable way.

Further information

At our initial consultion I will spend some time finding out more about your problem so that we can decide together whether CBT is the best approach for you. If we are both happy to go ahead, then we will book a course of treatment: typically 6 to 20 sessions depending on your needs.

CBT adopts a collaborative approach. What this means is that we both act as equals. While I am the expert in CBT techniques, you are the expert on your current difficulties. So we both work together, collaboratively working towards solving your problem.
