May I offer my time, as a qualified counsellor to assist you in finding out what is troubling you and how it’s affecting you? I offer respect, trust and space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and actions.
Life events can often seem overwhelming which may affect us in a number of ways, such as through anxiety, frustration, regret, lack of motivation/direction and low self-esteem. This can affect us negatively and affect the quality of life for ourselves and for our friends and family. It may seem like a number of areas of our life are affected, such as our health, family, relationships, education, work, money, time etc.
I work on a one-to-one counselling basis and offer small group sessions which may suit your needs. Such groups for example, explore negative thinking, understanding what makes us stressed, worry, self-esteem plus many more.

For me, counselling is about having space – ‘me time’. Time to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions at a pace that is yours. No-one telling you what to do or say. Time where you can just be you and to think! To have someone listen, really listen and understand you, for who you are, what you stand for and not to judge you. It’s your time and no-one can take that away from you. You just need to be you!!!
As the saying goes; “No one size fits all.” Therefore counselling is very personal to you and if your desire to change how you think, behave and think is great, change will occur. Let me be the one to help you.
I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within the code of ethics laid down by the BACP. I will always work in the best way to suit you. As laid down in the BACP’s guidelines for ongoing professional development, I have regular supervision.

If something is bothering you, no matter what it is, I can offer the space that is often needed to look at the issue.
£30 for first session.
£35 payable after that (reduced from £40 for first six weeks). Fees are negotiable thereafter.

As part of my own life experiences, I too sought help with a counsellor as I felt that I needed some space to think and to speak to someone who did not know me and who would not judge. My eyes were opened. Although I was unable to change what had happened, I was able to see the situation more clearly and was able to look at my choices and decide whether I wanted to stay in this whirlpool of self-destruction and pity or do something about how I was feeling, thinking and acting. I was able to work out for myself what I thought was best ‘for me’ at that particular moment in time and take action. My sense of self grew and although I’m again now on a different path, I have no regrets as I can look back and think that I did what was right at that particular moment in time.
