About me

Are you finding life challenging/difficult, maybe with relationships, friendships, home life, work environment, bullying, bereavement etc?  I am a qualified counsellor, working with Adults and young people (aged 12 and above). If you have something you need to talk about with someone privately, I am here to listen. I offer a safe, confidential space for you to express your thoughts and feelings.

Bereavement and loss can cover a number of issues from death, ending of relationships (separation or divorce), moving home/area, identity, miscarriage or termination/abortion or any situation where you feel a loss. You may even fear your own mortality.

Do you feel you have no one to talk to or that no one really listens?

Do you feel no one understands you or people misinterpret what you say and you cannot get them to hear your point of view?

Do you feel down, depressed, anxious but don’t know why or maybe you do but can’t find the right person to talk/turn to?

Do you feel isolated and alone?

Are your children having difficulties with peer pressure, self-harm, school life, relationship issues?

I can offer a safe contained space and together we can explore the way you are feeling in confidence.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I draw from a range of counselling theories to meet your needs.

I attend on-going training courses to up date my skills and knowledge.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
