About me

Hello, welcome to Hope in the Dawn Counselling Services. I am a down to earth, caring and professional counsellor. I am here to help you make sense of your life and your concerns. Owing to personally, experiencing, various life struggles and troublesome times, I chose to become a counsellor to help and support people who have also found themselves going through any crisis, challenges or difficult times. I strongly believe that it is good to talk and that every individual has a voice to be heard. If you would like to be listened to, and heard, without judgement, and in confidence, then contact me to arrange your first session on 07810763543. There is no obligation to book any additional sessions.

Over the past 20 years I have predominantly and with passion, strived to support and help people with their problems and to help them to powerfully move positively forward in their life. I have a burning, genuine desire, to engage with people emphatically, professionally and enthusiastically. I believe that my positive energy is my fundamental attribute that contributes to the provision of hope for a brighter future with all the people I come in contact with.

I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I use a combined approach to therapy from various different therapies to form a whole and unique therapy for each individual client. I am also a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist which means I can help you learn to stop the cycle of negative thinking.

I believe that by listening to you with compassion and without any judgement I can provide you with a safe and confidential space for you to disclose your concerns and to begin to gain hope for the present and the future.

I am highly empathic of many of life's challenges and interested in supporting you with issues such as:

  • anxiety

  • relationship issues

  • depression

  • generalised anxiety disorder

  • family issues

  • low self-esteem

  • separation and divorce

  • lack of confidence

  • affairs and betrayals

  • bereavement

  • emotional abuse

  • and much more.

What my therapy offers - My therapy offers you the opportunity to explore your personality, your needs and your wants and then begin to help you make sense of the whole of you. This is your therapy and your journey, so therefore I will tailor your therapy to meet your needs and not you to therapy.

Would talking help?

Don't want to wait for an NHS appointment?

You could be booked in for your first appointment today to help you get back to the real you.

Are you suffering Depression?

Depression is more than simply feeling unhappy or fed up for a few days.

We all go through spells of feeling down, but when you're depressed you feel persistently sad for weeks or months, rather than just a few days.

Some people still think that depression is trivial and not a genuine health condition. They're wrong. Depression is a real illness with real symptoms, and it's not a sign of weakness or something you can "snap out of" by "pulling yourself together".

The good news is that with the right treatment and support, most people can make a full recovery (NHS : 2016).

The Benefits of Skype Counselling

For many people, talking openly about difficult problems is hard. Finding the time to undertake this commitment can also be challenging. But it is well worth it, and Skype counselling is a really convenient way to make it happen. Skype counselling can provide many advantages.

For some people it is easier to open up on Skype

  • Skype counselling allows you to discuss sensitive issues directly, but without meeting face-to-face. Many find it a more relaxed way to work with a counsellor, particularly if they feel embarrassed about their problems.

  • Skype Counselling Saves Time and Travel.

  • There is no need to travel, simply log on to Skype from your choice of location. It can be home, your office, the park or even from a hotel when you are travelling. It really is that simple. For those living in remote locations, or who have mobility difficulties it provides a practical solution.

  • You may live in a country where counselling in your preferred language is not available. On-line technology allows you to access counselling in the language of your choice.

  • With Skype counselling your choice of counsellor is not limited to your geographic location. You can access Skype counselling from almost anywhere in the world.

  • Convenient Skype counselling sessions

  • Balancing family life, a job, a social life and other commitments can be challenging. Skype counselling sessions are flexible and can be arranged to fit with your routine.

  • Skype Counselling is Confidential.

  • Skype is a secure way to communicate and is password protected. Just like face-to-face counselling I am bound by a professional code of confidentiality. What you discuss in a session with me stays completely private.

  • Skype counselling for depression, bereavement, stress and more.

  • Skype counselling is successfully used to help with a broad range of life situations including Skype counselling for depression, stress counselling, bereavement counselling and plenty more.
