About me

Counselling

Feeling overwhelmed? Anxious? Stressed? Depressed? Relationship problems? Needing to make changes? I can help.

I am here to  support you to make the changes, that are needed, so you can be the best version of yourself.  Change is possible so why not start today? I  have been a qualified counsellor for 18 years, counselling children, young adults, older people, couples and families. I cover the Merseyside including Wirral area and provide a professional, personal counselling session in a calming, friendly and safe environment.

I have built up a reputable practice, in which i believe speaks for itself through the many referrals i have had from previous and current clients, for which i am very grateful. It has been a privilege to be able to support people in changing their lives for the better, as everyone needs a little support at times.

Changing the lives of people is why I entered this field originally. I bring warmth, a safe and confidential environment where we can both discover which areas of your life you would like to change for the better.

Supervision Clients

Supervision is a reflective process based on the foundation of building rapport and trust. I like to strike the balance between supporting and assisting the counsellors I supervise, with the occasional tailored and individual challenge to help them think and improve their own practice. I am proud that many of my clients have progressed significantly in their careers, and stayed with me throughout their career over significant period of time.

Diploma (foundation degree) in Informal Education and Communication for Young people (Canterbury University). Life Coaching Diploma (International Coaching Academy) NLP Practioner and Master Practitioner.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
