About me

David Whelton MBACP (Accred) & Registered: Counsellor & Supervisor

ST13 5LA

Contact details: 0775 2124 178 or davidwhelton01@aol.com

I am a registered counsellor and psychotherapist based in the Staffordshire Moorlands where I offer a professional, caring, confidential & supportive counselling service. My experience is extensive in working with adults, couples and young people covering a wide range of issues.

Counselling offers individuals opportunities to talk through any difficulties (past or present) that you may be experiencing; you can explore your concerns, feelings or thoughts in a safe and supportive environment. I offer a non-judgemental, emphatic service where I genuinely strive to empower my clients. My philosophy is not to give you advice or tell you what to do but rather to work with you in what brought you to counselling.

I'm an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) where I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I have regular supervision to ensure my counselling practice is to a high standard. I have Professional Civil Liability Insurance.

I offer short and long term counselling depending upon your needs and requirements.

My counselling practice is provided in my home which is conveniently placed in Leek Staffordshire and is approximately 400 meter's away from the local bus station. If attending by car there is ample parking in the surrounding area.
My counselling service is also accessible for nearby Cheshire and Derbyshire.
