About me

I exclusively use PROVEN therapeutic interventions for complex problems

Are you depressed and anxious because of your abuse of substances? Is your behaviour interfering with your relationship, job, and family?

Are you put off by the religious tones of Alcoholics Anonymous and the need for a lifelong commitment to a religious deity in order to stay clean and sober? I practice an effective brief therapy treatment that overcomes substance abuse/alcohol issues without having to attend AA meetings for the rest of your life

In the first session we will talk informally about your concerns, it will give us an opportunity to see if I can assist you. If you feel I am the right counsellor for you then we can discuss your goals and look at the best way forward.

I have specialised and effectively proven treatment approaches in DRUG/ALCOHOL ADDICTIONS, ALCOHOL ABUSE & RELATED DEPRESSION/ANXIETY, RELATIONSHIP DIFFICULTIES.

I have 35 years’ experience in the USA and UK in the fields of clinical psychology, psychotherapy, the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction, trauma related disorders, depression, anxiety, with the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Behaviour Therapy, EMDR and Solution Focused Therapy.

I also have extensive experience of providing effectively proven counselling techniques with substance misuse from the perspective of past trauma.

I am an Accredited Drug and Alcohol Counsellor with the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP).. I am a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I also hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology as well as an MA in Counselling Psychology from the prestigious Antioch University Graduate School in New Hampshire, USA.
