I am an experienced therapist (twenty five years) grounded in both traditional and modern methods and work with a wide range of personal issues.
I aim to create a safe accepting environment with the client so they can come to experience their own worth; reduce their distress; believe in their strengths; feel more at home in themselves and move forward in their life. I am an integrative transpersonal therapist who draws from several traditions in therapy according to what is best suited to the client.
Some clients want to work on what is going on for them in their lives at the moment, some want to define and fulfill their life goals and some feel stuck and haunted by their personal past and early life. Some people do better with a relatively long-term wide-ranging approach and some prefer a shorter-term more focused approach. Each person is unique and their optimum path forward is particular to them.
As well as working with individual clients I also have a specialism in working with couples. (Please see my website for more details.)
As well as face to face sessions I offer Skype and telephone sessions for those whose circumstances make this a preferable way of working.
Training, qualifications & experience
Since early adulthood, I have had a great interest in counselling and psychotherapy as practical methods to help people gain fulfilment in their lives and overcome limiting obstacles.
I have a BSc(Hons) degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a long-standing training and tutoring role in a large and successful London psychotherapy training college (CCPE) and am a registered member of BACP and a member of UKCP. I take an active interest in the developing fields of counselling and psychotherapy as they progress and the many different approaches which are currently emerging.

My normal fee is £80 per 55 min session and £85 for couples sessions. Therapy is meant to be a positively life changing experience and has to be valued for it to have a deeply beneficial effect. However, I have a limited number of concessions available for those who are genuinely unable to pay this amount.
Please contact me in confidence to arrange a no obligation free telephone discussion about your situation. Or you may prefer as your first step to book a full session in person. Either way, please email or phone and I'll get back to you quickly.
May I encourage you to be bold and take the first step - therapy can be a more up-beat experience than you might expect!
