David Jones Registered Member MBACP (Accred), PG Dip, RMN, Dip Supervisor
Psychosynthesis & Education Trust
92-94 Tooley Street
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist based at London Bridge SE1.
As a therapist I can offer you a safe and confidential space to talk through your worries or concerns and we can work together to make positive changes in your life. I believe that each client that I work with has the ability to find their own answers, and I am able to support you through your discovery.
I work as an integrative counsellor which means that I draw on a number of theoretical models of counselling: psychosynthesis, transpersonal, person-centred, solution-focused and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). This allows me to work flexibly, using a variety of techniques to enable you to discover the best way for us to work though the issues that are impacting on your life.
I offer counselling which is usually short term work with a specific goal. I am able to help you find a better way of dealing with the problems and challenges you are facing in your life.
I also offer psychotherapy which explores issues in greater depth and is helpful when a problem persists. It normally involves longer term work exploring issues from the past and can transform these issues into opportunities for personal growth.
If you are not sure why not arrange an initial appointment. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns and together we can decide if counselling or therapy is right for you. Get in touch by email or phone to arrange initial appointment.
Training, qualifications & experience
My initial training as a psychiatric nurse gave me a good understanding of mental health issues and treatments. I then trained as a psychosynthesis counsellor which has the core belief that individuals are unique and looking for their true purpose in life. I then took further training in person-centred counselling, solution-focused therapy and CBT.
