Counselling and You
Counselling is intentional time set aside for you to be with yourself, have a feel of how you're doing and where you're heading in your life. Seeking counselling can in itself be empowering as you might get a sense of stepping back and getting hold of things.
I give my full and undivided attention to you and the difficulty that brought you to counselling. Starting from a place of accepting you and your choices might get us a bit further already in helping you feel more content and connected. I support you to identify what you hope to get out of coming to see me and explore how you and I work towards that. My approach is grounded in the thought that deepening awareness leads to change and with greater awareness comes more choice.
How do I know that you're the right counsellor for me?
You probably don't just yet. I offer an initial session for a lower rate. This gives you a chance to air the difficulty you're experiencing and have a sense of how I work.
How many sessions do I need?
I suggest 6 sessions to start with to give you a sense of what working with me might be like and that whether you wish to end or continue. This can support you in navigating through a particular difficulty, if you then decide to continue you have time and space to look at your life in a broader context. You can start and end counselling at any point.
Email me through here to book an initial session. You can also visit my website - beingwithcounsellinglondon.com and message through there. It only takes a minute or so and I'll get back to you in 24 hours.

I hold a BACP accredited Diploma in Gestalt Counselling and I attend regular clinical supervision with a senior psychotherapist, as it is requested by BACP guidelines.
I have experience working with people whose difficulties are around their identities as well as with people whose identities are completely incidental to what they wish to seek support for.
