Profile
I am a Specialist Practitioner registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a specialist in the delivery of psychological treatment. I am also registered with both the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
My specialist area of interest is the cognitive behavioural treatment of stress, anxiety, post traumatic stress, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and bereavement support.
Whilst I am able to offer one to one treatment, users of my website can register free of charge to access my self help tool which enables users to identify and manage stress, anxiety and post traumatic stress for themselves. I am able to accommodate NHS referrals, private clients and Bupa insured clients. My treatment room in Walsall is comfortable and quiet, there is free parking available and access for disabled wheel chair users is provided for. I have an additional office in the centre of Birmingham with reception staff, tea, coffee and a private treatment room. There is public parking near by and both New Street and Snow Hill train stations are within walking distance.

Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have a BSc Hons in Advance Mental Health Nursing with Specialist Practitioner status.
I have a post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
Certificate in bereavement support.
Certificate in CBT for obsessive compulsive disorder.
I have been a practising psychiatric nurse for 9 years and my nursing experience includes forensic, community and primary care practice. I have been practising as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist since June 2007 and have enjoyed some very positive results with clients that I treat. I have a particular interest in neurotic conditions as such conditions have a very clear physiological as well as psychological origin. In my experience, the link between the two area's provides both client and therapist with an interesting platform from which to explore treatment in a way that is logical to all whether the orientation is towards biological science, science of the mind, or both.

£25.00 per hour based on one to one counselling, including bereavement.

Bupa insured clients may receive free treatment via their insurance policy
Further Information
My treatment room based in Walsall is suitable for wheelchair users. The room is located in a quiet, comfortable, canal side setting and has a toilet adjacent for use by clients and their companion. Clients are free to bring family or friends into therapy with them if they wish.
My central Birmingham office is located within walking distance of both New Street and Snow Hill train stations and there is public parking available close by. The office is based on the third floor and there is a lift available. However, there are small steps leading in to the building which may make this venue unsuitable for some wheel chair users.
