Primrose Hill Practice
Muswell Hill Consulting Rooms
51 Colney Hatch Lane
I am a BABCP-accredited clinical psychologist with over 12 years' experience helping people with sleep problems, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. I am passionate about helping people make sense of what they are experiencing and, most importantly, find ways to make meaningful change and improve wellbeing.
Sadness and anxiety are normal and natural emotional responses to life’s challenges. However, if people start to feel overwhelmed, ‘stuck’ or less able to get along in their day-to-day lives, it can be very useful to seek extra support.
I work with contemporary, evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I enjoy working with my clients in an empathic, honest, respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship, where we explore different ways of approaching distressing emotions that can get in the way of living a rich and fulfilling life.
In addition to individual consultations, I offer a pioneering 6-week individual therapy programme (based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) to treat insomnia, exploring gentle but powerful ways to restore trust in your body's ability to sleep naturally.
Training, qualifications & experience
After completing my first degree in Social & Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, I spent time travelling and teaching before starting a career in psychology in 2004. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have supervised trainee and qualified clinical psychologists and cognitive behavioural therapists, and have delivered teaching on professional training programmes.
