Hello, my name is Danielle and I am a qualified Counsellor. Counselling may be a new or familiar journey for you, either way, it can be a source towards personal understanding. Within our day to day lives there can be many struggles and difficulties, which can sometimes become really overwhelming. Talking to friends or relatives may have become uncomfortable for you or you may be experiencing difficulty really opening up. Therapy can offer another ear for you to be heard. I believe therapy can offer a pathway to growth and change and the way I work is based around the professional relationship between us both. That means that we can work together to and build together, based on your personal needs.
I offer acceptance and empathy in a safe and non-judgemental space, which I hope will enable individuals to share themselves, explore and discover their qualities. I am passionate about helping people lead a more fulfilling life and I aim to assist my clients in finding their inner strength. Therapy is very much a collaborative guided process which is focused around each individual getting what they need from working together.
My experience includes working with men and women with a range of life difficulties, including depression, bereavement and anxiety. There does not need to be a specific issue or problem that you are bringing. At times, therapy can offer a space to filter through some things that you may be experiencing. It does not necessarily mean you can only attend counselling if you have depression or anxiety. It can be a relationship, work or studying difficulty. Perhaps you are struggling to maintain friendships. If you feel unsure then please contact me and we can have a little chat about what you feel you need from therapy.
Personally, I have experienced depression and anxiety. I have also had my fair share of therapy in the past. I found it was really useful for me in those times of need to help me get to a better place in my life. I hope it can offer you the same.
Thank you :)
